SIN MALA UVA WINE BAR

-check here our 2025’s review-

We went back to Sin Mala Uva, despite the fact that it did not exactly thrill us in 2025, and this time we have to admit it landed better. The food is simple, the wine list is hardly the sort of thing to set off fireworks, but the overall experience felt more comfortable, more settled, more in tune with what the place actually wants to be.

This is not somewhere you book for a celebration, nor the kind of address you save for a night that needs to feel special. But for an ordinary weekday — when the goal is a few glasses, a few bites, and an easygoing atmosphere — it makes a perfectly decent case for itself. There is something to be said for a place that understands its lane and stays in it.

Sin Mala Uva has its crowd, and more importantly, its moment.

The 2025 Review · Dec. 28, 2025

Nothing wrong, nothing memorableSin Mala Uva is the kind of modern Barcelona wine bar that’s easy to like in the moment: clean room, calm energy, a list with enough range to keep everyone happy, and a general sense that the place is competently run. We don’t leave annoyed, because they’re not really missing any basics. We also don’t leave excited. The wines are fine and occasionally interesting, but the selection doesn’t always translate into a clear point of view—so the experience stays polite instead of becoming a story. And the food doesn’t help. Nothing is offensively bad, it’s just… a little sad: support-act plates that feel like they exist to fill time between sips, not to make us crave a second round. In the end, it lands as a bar that’s “correct” in every direction, which is its strength and its weakness. We can see why it works for an international crowd passing through. For us, it left that clean aftertaste of indifference.
